Eric Potter is currently the Director of Sports Performance at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  With over a decade in the performance industry, he has worked with youth, collegiate, and professional athletes that have made it to the NBA, MLB, NFL, and the Olympics.  He holds CSCS and USAW certifications as well as nutrition certifications through Precision Nutrition (Pn1) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN). Before he got into the sports performance industry, Eric was a pitcher at the University of Maryland.  At the time of his graduation, he finished his career top 10 in innings pitched and strikeouts in school history.  Eric was drafted in the 19th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics and played parts of two seasons with the Arizona League Athletics and Vermont Lake Monsters.

Eric obtained his B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, and his M.S.Ed with an emphasis in Coaching Education from Old Dominion University.  He completed his graduate thesis on Effects of a Single Leg Strength-Training program on performance metrics such as jump height, speed, and strength in Division I athletes.  In addition, he is currently an adjunct professor for Coaching courses at ODU.  Be Elite Daily is Eric's platform to promote practical solutions to improve performance and overall health.  The three main principles that are emphasized are planning for elite performance, eating real food, and training for your specific goals.
